Judge Jaiza Page

Judge Page is a Columbus native who lived in the Linden community on Republic Avenue until she was 16 years old. She is a graduate of the Columbus School for Girls. Judge Page attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Government. While in college she also completed minors in African American Studies and Spanish and worked for the National Guard Bureau, focusing on education and readiness with an emphasis on homeland security and defense. After receiving her degree in 2005, she worked in the office of U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee. She then returned to Columbus to enroll in the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2007. During her time in law school, Judge Page worked as a civil law clerk in the office of Columbus City Attorney Richard C. Pfeiffer, Jr., where she gained a greater understanding of the importance of serving her community.
After passing the bar, Judge Page began her legal career as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Columbus where she worked to remedy issues that arose with nuisance properties. She fought to ensure that no citizens were forced to live in substandard housing or live in neighborhoods plagued with drugs and other illegal activities. In 2015, she was appointed to serve as a Member of Columbus City Council. During her time as a Council Member, Judge Page served on various committees and sponsored legislation to create the Learning Skills to Lift Neighborhoods housing rehabilitation grants and summer youth employment opportunities. In addition to serving on Columbus City Council, Ms. Page was Of Counsel at Eastman and Smith, Ltd., where she practiced in the Environmental and Public Law Section, working for many municipal and civil clients.
Judge Page was elected to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, General Division on November 6, 2018. She began her term on January 3, 2019. She has enjoyed her time on the bench so far and strives to promote access to justice for everyone who enters her courtroom.
Judge Page also serves on the boards for the Columbus Bar Foundation, The Legal Aid Society of Columbus, Columbus Early Learning Centers, the Christian Legal Society and the Franklin County Parks and Recreation.
